If you had to choose between being known as a geek or hipster, which would you choose?  Before you answer “hipster” simply to avoid the term “geek,” you might want to have a look at this infographic.  Today’s geek is a far cry from the geeks of yesteryear, and is perceived in a more positive light than before.  Hipsters, of course, will always be hipsters.  I’m just saying, check this out before you make up your mind:

It started out like any other typical weekend.  I lounged around Friday night on the couch watching television and looking out my new glass windows that I bought at www.allglasswindows.com thinking about how dull and simple my life had become and dozed off.  I woke up Saturday feeling a little down and out because no normal person falls asleep on the couch on a Friday night at 8 o’clock whilst thinking of how boring they are, right?  It was then clear that cupcakes were calling my name.  They always know when the most opportune time is to come around, stupid treats.

Enter cupcakes, delicious homemade with a creamy sweet frosting.  I eyed them for sometime before finally reaching out to get one.  One cupcake cannot hurt, I thought.  The second I bit into this delectable vanilla cupcake I was hooked.  It was so good, and since I was going to be quitting cupcakes once and for all I savored every little bite.  Only I could not give up on cupcakes.  What was I thinking?  I should have never gone back!

I had to have just one more before cupcakes were taken from me.  I reached for another.  It was the largest one on the tray, and it was mine all mine.  Again I bit down into it and I was sure that I had never loved cupcakes more than that moment.  I was so in love for the minute that it lasted, and then I felt immediate guilt and shame.

Why was I back in this vicious circle with cupcakes?  Why could I not say no?  While I shed some tears I thought that the next day I would do better and I would stay strong.  Only I did not.  This day it was a chocolate cupcake with strawberry flavored creamy icing, and it was perfect.

My body and hips might be angry, but me and cupcakes we are just too close for me to let go.  So here I will be, still hanging on…

Here is one I am looking forward to watching.  It is a television series: Mōretsu Pirates.
The main character is Marika, a  high school student who lives in a distant galaxy called Uminoakeboshi. After she finds out that her late father was once the captain of the space pirate ship called the Bentenmaru, the adventure begins.  Because the only one to inherit the captain’s position must be a direct descendant, Marika is next in line to assume that title and role. Sounds like lots of fun to me.There is nothing more thrilling than more anime, except maybe when the adt home security system goes off by itself.

Social media is no longer something for one or two types of people.  Anyone can be a part of social media and networking sites, and they are taking advantage of that.  Think about it, there are grandparents using Facebook to keep in touch with their family.  I mean if grandma is using Facebook, that is a sure sign that everyone is hoping on board.  Twitter and Google+ are other more commonly used social media sites that allow you to connect with people from your past, current friends, and family members.  These sites are great for things like being a part of a friend’s life even though he or she live across the country or flowland, stalking your ex, finding out what old high school classmates are up to, etc.

What would happen though if we communicated in reality the same way we do on these sites.  Following people that you might not know too well, poking strangers, and ‘liking’ random things might come off a bit strange in reality.  Don’t you think?  Seriously, how often do you walk up to someone and ask if you can be his or her friend?  That just is not normal social etiquette in real life, but on Facebook, that’s how it works.

Did you know that the word “geek” can actually be traced back to the 1500s. Then it was a word that described someone as a fool. It might have even come from the 18th century Austrian word “gecken,” which was used to describe circus performers. Now geeks can range from foodies to techies, and everywhere in between. They are even play lovable characters on our favorite television shows. There is even geek fashion, dubbed “geek chic.” So put away your old images of geeks and embrace the fact that you too, are probably in some way a geek.

Wearing a watch on a daily basis, can result in dirt, sweat and lotion building up on the bottom of the watch face and in the band. If not cleaned every once in a while, the build up on your watch will start to leave marks on your wrist.

You’ll Need:

• Rubbing alcohol
• Soft-bristled toothbrush
• Lint-free cloth
• White vinegar
• Baking soda

Step One:
Remove the band if you can. If you can’t remove the band, then take care not to get the face of the watch wet while you are cleaning the band, even if it’s water-resistant.

Step Two:
Soak the band in water and mild soap or rubbing alcohol for a few minutes to a few hours. The longer you soak the band, the more dirt will be loosened, making scrubbing easier.

Step Three:
Use a toothbrush with soft bristles to scrub between the links of the bands both on the inside and outside.

Step Four:
Dry the band with a cloth. Reattach the band to your watch, then use the slightly dampened cloth to wipe down the watch itself.

Step Five:
Clean leather band with a mixture of white vinegar and water and a toothbrush. Let the bands dry completely before wearing the watch again. You can go longer between cleanings if you wipe off the straps each night after removing your watch.

Please note that when dealing with luxury watches, such as Cartier watches or Blum Lux Watches, this advice cannot be followed. Watches like these need to be taken to the jewelry store to be cleaned properly and safely.

Anyway, I decided that maybe I should pay more attention, so I ran a cable out to my cave from my mom’s basement and got on the Internet.

My friends were right. Apparently I can save 15% on my auto insurance and some black guy from Chicago named Obama is the President. I was shocked to learn that he’s an illegal alien from Hawaii without a birth certificate, but he does have a drivers license from Maryland and got in-state tuition when he went to Harvard.

I’ll bet that ticks my friend Juan off.

I dug into it a little more and discovered that he has a really low golf handicap and takes a lot of vacations. Some guy was really mad about it on some website I went to. He went on about how Obama was some kind of commie who hates America. I didn’t like that at all, but once I found out that he’s a White Sox fan and wants to replace the BCS with a college football playoff system, I figured he can’t be all that bad.

I went to a web site that has a lot of videos on it to look at some of Obama’s speeches, but I got distracted watching a bunch of funny cat clips. Those cats are funny.

The next day I did manage to listen to a few of the President’s speeches. I guess we have some kind of debt crisis because in one of them he was going on about how we need to sell rich people’s jets to pay for uncle Wally’s Disability, and that if we didn’t raise the debt ceiling America wouldn’t be able to pay its bills.

I thought that was a great idea, so I called my credit card company and asked them to raise my debt ceiling so I could pay my bills. Once Rajneesh stopped laughing he told me no.

In another speech the President was talking about how the gays could now serve in the military. ‘What do you mean now,’ I thought, ‘Hello? The Navy!’

I guess the gays getting married is a big issue too. Who knew that denying gays the right to be miserable was discrimination? They always look so happy at their parades. Why would they want to ruin that?

I thought I was all caught up on current events, but yesterday at the coffee shop some hippie chick I was trying to hit on started talking about global warming and how the ice caps are melting and all the poor polar bears are drowning. When I casually reminded her that it was July, she got all huffy and stomped off.

Today my goal was to learn all about global warming, but those darn cats are just so funny.

Tarzana, California-An animal rights spokesperson states that his animated and extremely vocal group had recently met and talked about holding a protest in the streets against the film ‘Zookeeper‘.

The spokesperson told the Cucamonga Chit-n-Chat Chronicle that the group is very upset because of the mistreatment of the animals during filming. When questioned further concerning this matter, several instances were noted by the spokesperson, including; Rudy Rhino was able to get near the Flamingo Fanny and he trampled on her only good leg. Now Fanny is very depressed and still suffering horribly. He went on to report that the parrot Pollyanna had encountered the boa constrictor ‘Tabby’ and was found in Tabby’s mouth. Thank heavens that an assistant to the animal trainers was a quick study and when she saw what was going on, she grabbed a heavy, wooden baseball bat and hit Tabby right on top of the head, which forced her to release Pollyanna.

There have been reports that Pollyanna is scheduled to receive counseling because since this incident with Tabby, she has not uttered a single word, and she knows at least 293 of them.

The spokesperson said that his organization is demanding that no less than 25% of the film’s profits need to be donated. Donated to HIS organization to assist them in caring for, feeding and clothing (yes, that’s right clothe) a portion of the multitude of animals they house in their shelters all over Canada, Lower Zamgola and the U.S.

Los Angeles, California-In her most recent role as Dr. Julia Harris in the movie Horrible Bosses, Jennifer Aniston sported brunette hair. She most certainly put the old adage to rest that blondes have more fun.

Aniston is 42 years old, but had no problem portraying the sexy, sensuous nymphomaniac female in her role as Dr. Harris. FuFi Fondue confidentially told Gazebo Serengeti that, through his beauty salon’s grapevine, he heard that when Brad Pitt watched Jennifer in the movie, he told a really close friend that he just might want to rekindle their romance.

It has been reported that Pitt stated he has NEVER seen Jennifer look so good, and just like Angelina ‘stole him away’ from Jennifer, he would without a doubt allow Jennifer to ‘steal him away’ from Angelina.

Hollywood, California-The #1 movie in the nation is Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon. The film is doing fantastic at the box office so, the next Transformers film is already in the works.

Shia Lebeouf, who plays Sam Witwicky in the film, stated that he was so ecstatic that the movie was so successful that he bought himself an iPod that was gold plated ($3,000), a pair of Shark Skin boots ($400), a brand new Lamborghini Mucilage ($354,000). He drove his new Lamborghini to La Habra, randomly picked out fifty of the homeless people there and bought each of them a Happy Meal from McDonald’s (Priceless)-Just kidding-(approximately $200).
